2 - could these be the panels destined for the Apple iTV?Apple contractor Foxconn's parent company has made a rather large investment in Sharp - does this indicate something we wonder? Both companies were apparently working together to 'test' TV designs in the December 2012 rumours. In February 2013 it became clear that Apple had hired James (Jueng-jil Lee, a former senior researcher at LG. Rumours also continue to circulate that Samsung could be heavily involved in the iTV project, not least because of features such as TV Discovery, enabling you to easily find programming

RT at least is fairly good at showing when ITV is simulcasting something in HD, but as others have said it does rely on the broadcaster not chopping and changing things at the last minute. Sky seems to be the choice of the day and reluctantly I feel I am being pushed in to getting SKY HD and forget about Freesat altogether especially as the offers from SKY are becoming more and more attractive

Says: March 24th, 2014 at 6:58 pm Enhance the channels ? Dont make me laugh, Cause mass confusion more like by jumbling channels all over the shop depending on where you live. And no insult intended, but how much more confusing is this for more elderly viewers, some of who may have problems such as Dementia etc, who may have problems remembering the channel numbers

So all receivers of any type will work on free channels like the BBC (providing the dish you have is the correct size) There are two reasons why a Sky receiver is not ideal for use on other satellites than Astra 2. To use Sky HD and use the record feature you DO need a Sky HD subscription but the phone line does not need to be connected (although it can be if you wish) unless it is part of a "Sky multiroom" contract

Will some models offer methods to combat motion resolution that don't cause the dreaded Soap Opera Effect, like black frame insertion? Many will, yes, but not all

When is STV going to learn that the contempt they have for their viewers will not retain those viewers, will not help them win new viewers, and certainly isn't making them any money. Quote: Does anyone have any information on what's going on between STV and SKY that seems to have prevented the newly launched STV+1 service from being carried on the SKY platform? The channel will be available on Virgin and Freeview from tonight but wont be available on Sky
