However, the older TP-Link 8840 (BCM6338 chipset) would consistently sync 500mbps slower than the TP-Link 8960N and TG782T (both have the BCM6358 chipset). d-link is virtually a adsl1 modem under trend's chipset, adsl1 is solid up to 4km, anything over 1.5km from the exchange adsl2 is useless only good thing about d-link is they work great as sync testers that's it, try and do anything with it with anything like 2-5 pc's off of it watch it fall of its perch.
