Griphook is cold-bloodedly mercenary, while Olivander is a broken man (Warwick Davies and John Hurt both on tremendous form) and Harry is no longer too young to tell Olivander 'You're lying', nor too nice not to at least consider double-crossing Griphook.Of course the goblin is a double-dealing little git, who gets incinerated, and the whole Goblin species seems to lose credibility in Gringotts' treatment of that poor dragon, but part of the new Voldemort-era look of the bank is a modernising of all the old Victoriana, so they all now look, well, like C21 bankers

In the film, he just says that "she'll be along..." The months between the visit to the Lovegood house and the trio's capture by Snatchers, in which Harry obsesses over the Deathly Hallows, are omitted, and they do not argue about whether or not the Deathly Hallows really exist. When Xenophilius is asked about where Luna has gone, in the book, he tells Harry, Hermione, and Ron that she went fishing for plimpies near Bottom Bridge
Both the dream sequence in Kings Cross Station and the all-too brief sequence with the Resurrection Stone give the film the space it needs to breathe, reminding us of the emotional baggage which Harry carries and why he is fighting in the first place. Even moreso than in the previous instalment, the characters find themselves in an endgame, where they are fighting against a seemingly inevitable outcome
Instead, he allows the audience to experience the frustration, jealousy and uncertainty of his characters, and allows for Radcliffe, Watson and Grint to display some fine acting with the minimalest distraction from any visual effects. The additional time also turns out to be a blessing for fans and audiences, allowing them the opportunity to see their favourite supporting characters back on screen- most prominently of course Dobby the elf who returns to give the movie a touching finale
But as the mystical Deathly Hallows are uncovered, and Voldemort finds out about their mission, the biggest battle begins and life as they know it will never be the same again

However, Aberforth does mention that Ariana was one thing that Albus "sacrificed" in his quest for power, indicating that this sub-plot was present in some form in the original script.
