I'd actually translated this line originally (well, several months back when the concert audio came out) as 'It's taught us that we can support each other, watch over each other, and that we're not alone.' Upon more reflection, however, I realized I was taking perhaps too much creative liberty with mitsumeaeru and also that the 'oshiete kureta' may just be referencing what this gift from one person has done for the other. So while I felt a little odd using we, I couldn't just say 'want to convey it, always and forever' because English needs the 'who' information to sound normal..
