To learn more about this condition and watch a video of it, see my hub on Dog Kennel Cough ** Note: if your dog vomits yellow fluid during the night, it may be from being on an empty stomach for too long. He is lethargic and doesn't even want to go out to the bathroom.I was reading earlier comments about the yellowness of the liquid and that it is because he is vomiting on an empty stomach

It seems that they want to make sure both the pet and the owner feel good about the proposed solution. The main thing to remember with dog vomiting and diarrhea issues is that their systems are so much different than those of humans. If they are vomiting for any other reason than this, and they do it more than once, I take them to my vet.Why take chances? If you wait too long, the problem could not only become more serious but your vet bill will be that much higher

What to do if your dog is throwing up or vomiting
Although vomiting is a common occurrence in dogs, this concern is a challenge not only to dog owners but to veterinarians as well given that vomiting is not considered to be a disease but rather a symptom of an underlying ailment. Why Does My Cat Poop Outside the Litter Box?
You use this stuff by first cleaning out the box completely as replacing the litter with one that has NO perfumes and no deodorizers (like baking soda). I scoop daily and havent changed food or litter and she has always gone there until recently! Any Thoughts? Reply Mike July 19, 2012 at 2:30 pm My cat has never had a problem with her litter
Dog Eating Poop - Why and How to Deal with This Bad Behavior
I have a 10 year old Labrador that has started to eat dog poo when out on walks, He has never done this before! he is fed the same time every morning and also walked every morning, and he is never on his own as I work from home. Once they learned that eating poop means they get their freedoms revoked, they not only stopped eating their own poop but also the cat and wild animal poop that we sometimes see during walks.Good luck
We've fostered a couple of beagles that were strays for a while and they struggled with dry food because their teeth were badly damaged (I'm assuming there was some nerve damage that made chewing painful). But it might be worth a try.posted by teleri025 at 8:20 AM on June 15, 2009 Err, why no human food? I mean, I agree you don't want to have to cook for your dog, but you could throw her a raw meaty bone or a raw chicken leg and see if she's more interested
The cat that owns me loves her potted grass and while some cats can get grass stuck in their throats and cause problems this is not the norm any more than a cat can choke on their usual food. This time he might not be soo lucky as its embedded in his stomach wall which caused a mass of infection hes got through his op but only time will tell if he will make it
Why Is My Dog Vomiting ? Why Is My Cat Vomiting ?
Hair is not affected by digestive enzymes and its smooth surface and narrow diameter prevent it from being efficiently carried along down the intestine. Aluminum foil, leaves, bone fragments, Christmas tree tinsel around the holidays, bits and pieces of favorite toys and swallowed fast food containers are high on the list of things found in vomit that ought not be there

For ancestral dogs to have survived successfully, they would have needed good hunting abilities in order to feed and nourish their young and survive as a pack. I can say that I've seen grass chewers on occasion get a good nasal cleanse, as the thick blade of grass occasionally gets on the wrong track and scurries out an unsuspecting nasal passage
can you please help? What can I do for a dog with diarrhea? My dog is vomiting and have really dark liquid diarrhea and she's not acting herself we maybe thought it was something out of the trash but we realized she tore open one of her toys. He is on a medication to get his food into his system faster, but he is still throwing up liquid and food (about a fourth of what he has eaten)shortly after he eats
As with people, getting the odd feeling of sickness, gas or discomfort is a normal fact of life, and so as long as your dog only behaves in this way a couple of times a year, it is not cause for concern. As well as eating grass with the specific intention of vomiting, many dogs will eat grass now and then or when out on walks simply as a matter of course, and not in sufficient quantities to cause regurgitation
Why does my dog vomit after drinking?
The food and the water that were stuck in the esophageal tube will be regurgitated back into the throat and vomited by the dog a few minutes after ingestion or it can stay for several hours. As mentioned, this can be an idiopathic disorder thus if underlying causes are not identified, treatment will be directed to giving the dog supportive measures
Why Do Dogs Eat Grass?
If you notice that your dog has been munching away on grass or houseplants, then you may want to introduce natural herbs or cooked vegetables into its diet. However, watch out for a sudden increase in grass eating; it could be a sign of a more serious underlying illness that your dog is trying to self treat, and that requires immediate veterinary assistance. You may also want to buy a small tray of grass just for the dog, or start an herbal home garden
Why do Dogs Eat Grass? (with pictures)
Mostly I raise sport or herding dogs and have little experience with small dogs.Peace out and remember, spay or neuter your pets millions of pets are put down every year. For three days I've been able to give him the pills by sticking them in canned vienna sausage; the vet advised me he should eat since the medicine would probably be rough on his tummy
Why Dogs Eat Grass: Causes and Prevention
Dogs eating grass is actually quite common (it has been observed in wild dogs, too, and may be completely natural) and this form of pica does not usually cause too many problems. Other suggested reasons why your dog might be eating grass include improving digestion, treating intestinal worms, or fulfilling some unmet nutritional need, including the need for fiber
Why Do Pet Dogs and Cats Eat Grass?
There are many theories about pets and grass, but if your pet exhibits an odd appetite (eating non-food items regularly, called pica), or regular vomiting, please contact your vet as soon as possible. Cats optimally would feed several small meals throughout the day.Whenever possible, I have fed my dogs and cats free choice -- food available at all times
But if your dog vomits for more than 24 hours, can't keep down any food or has frequent bouts of vomiting several times a week or month, consult your veterinarian
