Then I went to the other link and I tried to install IE11 and miraculously it was installed! Now at the Windows Update it says "No important updates available". Maybe this had to do with a virus that I recently removed from the laptop? When I opened the Internet Explorer after the update to see if it was running smoothly, it asked for a Java update and said sth like "A file was corrupted but IE will try to overcome this" or sth like that
