The Zion Narrows Hike, Zion National Park
http://www.canyoneeringusa.com/utah/zion/off-trail/zion-narrows/
If possible, however, take another day to enjoy this memorable hike, giving you time for taking photos, exploring side-canyons, romping in swimming holes, and lounging in camp. Zion National Park can be downright sweltering in the summer months, so escaping into the deep, twisty and cool river gorge makes for a delightful escape from the heat

The downside is that you are not as likely to be able to walk the Narrows in Zion due to high water levels and swift current, but the other hikes are fantastic. I did what i through was "due diligence" regarding weather and concluded that we couldn't do all of these places on the same trip and expect ideal weather at all of them

is about my favorite month for Zion....with the exception of mid winter when the ranger at the entrance has only one car in line (us) to chat with, homemade doggie treats to share with our pooch, the sun is soft in the brilliant blue sky, a good nip to the air that encourages hiking, the majestic red canyon walls have a dusting of snow and the bare trees show their interesting skeletons, along the river path.
