What's the difference between Windows Mail, Windows Live Mail, Windows Live Hotmail and MSN Hotmail?

It says it has "completed importing into windows mail format", but I can't seem to find it in Windows live mail...any reason why? Did I do it wrong? Update ASAP please. I guess I took it the long way instead....I imported the PST file to Outlook Express from another computer and imported using the Windows Livemail on Windows 7 but then I still had trouble with contacts
