When you outlet has only 2 sockets it is a pain to dedicate 1 of them for the Powerline.This Device and other like it the quality of the signal is based of a few factors. I never had issues with losing connection or having to restart either model.The reason for 4 out of 5 stars is after using the both the AV500 Nano and the AV600 I can say the AV600 is well worthy of its small price premium
