This may need some playing around with for those wanting to stream through citrix, however for my use with SCCM it should be fine and there is only a delay on first load anyway.I've tested the sequenced package on Windows 7 and it runs fine.Cheers. 4.5 SP2 was successful.I ended up not launching the application after install (package around 900MB i think) as i found this then caused a profile error once the package had been deployed

This feature can be used as single-time action or you can switch "track current database permanently", which will always focus current database whenever you change connection of your script or switch between scripts. SSMSBoost regularly makes backup snapshots of currently opened document to disk, providing you the possibility to get back to older versions of your work, if UNDO does not help anymore or maybe if you have had some valuable script unsaved over last days until SSMS was closed by "important update" overnight

Copy Database option not found in SQL Server Management Studio 2008 R2 - Database Administrators Stack Exchange

I can see it in SSMS 2005 (btw, the link you posted it is using same) And so I think your only option is just to script out the database or restore backup with different name. Don't right-click Databases, but you need to actually right-click the database that you want to copy, and under Tasks there is an option for Copy Database...

Fred A 27 Feb 2011 7:14 AM Hi Beth, After running SQL Server SP2 on Windows 7 x64 did it upgrade your SSMS to 10.2.4000.0 or did it leave it at 10.50.1600.1? Both my Win3k3 x32 bit and Vista x32 systems have been upgraded to 10.2.4000.0. Being on the VS team I have a lot of internal builds to install of VS so I am also semi-frequently installing SSMS on the VMs :) Cheers! Why oh why is it so complicated to install this piece of software!? This time I installed Visual Studio 2010 first, which in turn installed SQL Server 2008 Express. Thanks Frank Reply Frank February 14, 2013 @Frank: Hi Annie, Late breaking update !! After not finding the sql server 2005 express tools anywhere I went into the Registry and decided to operate

  http://stackoverflow.com/questions/21809196/sql-server-2008-r2-cant-connect-to-local-database-in-management-studio
In my observation the problem of not connecting the database service locally is just because of your network connection you are using, in most of the cases these problems will come when you are using wi-fi network. I am trying to connect to it locally using Windows authentication - server name is set to local and the username is grayed out and set to my profile username

There may be reasons to be using earlier versions of Management Studio these days, but none that impact me (and based on your description I doubt any of those reasons impact you either). You may have installed SQL Server Express after installing the Eval edition, but that did not replace your eval edition of the tools with a free edition

So if you have the DVD you will need to point the DVD drive, otherwise if you've mounted the ISO or have the installation files locally or on the network, you'll have to point to the folder that holds setup.exe
