The only things I would add is that it sounds like on the recording he throws in a couple of Dsus where you have the D(strum) parts (over fears and tears) and during the verse it sounds like he is alternating between G and Gsus

Social Distortion songs are great to jam to when you don't have anyone to play with because they usually consist of the same chord progression throughout the whole song, and you can solo throughout the whole song for practice
