It made it even better! Reply 47 Sandra August 1, 2008 at 8:58 pm Just wondering, I know you always cook your bananas into your oatmeal, but I tend to shy away from doing this just because I feel like it destroys the nutritional value of the banana. Even your oatmeals are very creative! My favourite oats are cooked with a hint of cardamom seeds and served with fresh oranges and orange blossom honey

I was thinking we could do the same with this oatmeal: get a case of the right sized jars, add oatmeal, dried fruit, seeds and nuts, cinnamon, nutmeg and turmeric, add lids, and put it in the pantry. I prepare all the ingredients the night before and in the morning I put the toppings in the jar and the booked water and when they get out of the roomsfully dressed their breakfast is waiting for them Reply Link Deborah Davis , I am in love with this idea
It has 220 calories, 49 g carbohydrate, 20 g sugar, 4 g fibre, 2.5 g fat, 5 g protein and 220 mg sodium and similarly, the extra 16 g, or 4 teaspoons, of added sugar is from the maple mix. There is a lot of good stuff in milk too, but most of the marketing is very exaggerated and you actually get a net loss of calcium by drinking milk (but it is easy to compensate by eating stuff that give you a net gain of calcium, like some vegetables and most nuts and grains). Why anyone would defend a corporation that gets rich by feeding people unhealthy food and in turn ends up costing taxpayers enormous amounts of money in offset healthcare costs is beyond me

300 calories and 57g of carbs? If you know anything about nutrition, you would know that you will blow up like a beach whale if you ate this on the regular. Literally a packet of instant oatmeal was opened, dumped in a cup, hot water added from a spout on their coffee pot, not the mccafe coffee but the regular coffee machines
