You also have the option of buying an Eevee at the Celadon City Game Corner for 6666 coins, or you can trade over the one you got in the Celadon City Mansion back in RBY. I was never able to truly cozy up to the GSC Eeveelutions as I did the RBY ones, but hey, at least this thing ain't as prolific a Psychic as Mewtwo, Lugia or Alakazam

But what about Eevee? How does it stack up when compared to other Normal types? Eevee's stats aren't bad for an unevolved Normal type, but they're significantly lower than those of Vaporeon, Jolteon and Flareon. On the offensive side, Eevee learns Quick Attack, Bite and Take Down, but none of these attacks come close to the amount of damage the evolved forms of Eevee can dish out

Train it without letting it faint, heal it instantly afterward, train in the area where you caught it (i.e., where it hatched - you should do this from an egg, not the Eevee you get from Bill) at the time of day you caught it, give it an item to hold, take it to get haircuts, and, what I've found works the best, use lots of stat-raising items on it (Carbos, HP Up, Protein, etc.)

To raise happiness you can, as you've stated, let it follow you, you can also get it's hair cut in Goldenrod underground and give it drugs such as Iron and Protein

For a select few Pokemon, evolution can be achieved when the happiness value is maxed out and the Pokemon gains a level after achieving max-out of happiness. It's not used to you." Happiness Quota: 50-99 When you catch, hatch or recieve a new Pokemon through a trade, it starts out with this pretty neutral feeling toward you at a happiness value of merely 70

Higher ratings are reached by having more submissions, being a pro submitter, a game expert and having good thumb ratings for sufficient submissions on the site. To raise happiness feed them plenty of potions and Hp Ups etc, groom them or give them haircuts, give them the soothe bell found at national park, make sure the pokemon is always 1st in a party, make sure it never faints, make it participate in gym battles (against the actual gym leader) and just talk to it and hopefully after around 15 - 25 levels it will evolve and it will be worth it

Like Ash's Pikachu, Pika was not too happy with his trainer in the beginning, but when Red saved him at risk to his own health during their battle with Leader Brock, he changed his view of Red. In the Yellow arc, Red's attire basically remained the same with the exception of a new red band which he tied around his left thigh on top of his jeans

Magic Bounce is one of the best abilities in the game, as it reflects any status moves, Taunt, Encore, Stealth Rock, Spikes, Toxic Spikes, pretty much any support move that is used on the opponent gets bounced back. Zoroark plays mind games as well, as you can have it copying a common entry hazard user (make sure it is in slot 6), lead with it, and then Night Burst or U-turn or whatever right off the bat to lay the hurt on Espeon

However, doing so is not always feasible, occasionally I manage to be wrong even when I think I've confirmed something, and with a website of this size, it's difficult to keep track of every single piece of information anywhere on it that might need to be changed or updated. Now, to train Eevee and make it even happier, I've discovered an interesting method - if your Eevee came from an egg, though, you'll have to train it a bit first, as this is meant for the level 20 Eevee you got from Bill

For example, Flareon is orange and white, Eevee is brown and white, Jolteon is yellow and white, Glaceon and Vaporeon (if you don't count the white part around its neck) are light blue and dark blue, Umbreon is yellow and black and Sylveon in pink and white while Espeon is only a light purple or pink. Etymology Espeon's name is derived from ESP (Extrasensory Perception), which is the ability to see the future and "eon", as is followed by every evolution of Eevee

The experiments gave Eevee the characteristic of being able to mutate into three of its evolved forms, namely Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon and revert, though it still requires the energies of an evolutionary stone. However, when Mikey's Eevee single-handedly defeated Team Rocket, Sparky, Rainer, and Pyro were able to accept the fact that Mikey wanted to keep his Eevee just the way it is

Also my eevee fainted a few times and still evolved! (it actually evolved RIGHT after it fainted.) Hope this helps some people for Espeon and Umbreon!! David Eevee only requires 2 Hearts in the Affection Meter to evolve into Sylveon. Sadly, if Eevee was not caught at level 19 (when it still knows Baby-Doll Eyes), and if the trainer does not teach it Charm at level 29, it cannot evolve into Sylveon, because Eevee cannot learn any other fairy-type moves, not even through TM
