i have to troubleshoot a similar situation mentioned here too: How can I reset my Apple ID password? When I log on www.icloud.com, using the apple ID ( which is different than the forgotten icloud ID credentials),go to FIND MY IPHONE, ALL DEVICES, I see the Ipad in question. If the email is not associated with iCloud, go to that particular email service's website via a computer, and initiate their specific password recovery process

go to the icloud storage settings and it'll tell you what's taking so much space, get the habit of transferring pics and videos to your computer regularly, 4gb is a LOT for an icloud back up, mine is around 1.5gb and my mail uses 1gb. no wonder that app was taking up so much space! Move your recordings that you don't need OFF of the device, just the same as you should with photos and videos
It will then ask if you would like to use this as an Apple ID press yes (or whatever option it gives you) and thats it iCloud all set-up for your partner. What do I need to do in order to configure iCloud on her iPhone? I presume I need to create a separate account or something? This must be a common thing I guess

Once you have configured iCloud, you can also visit iCloud.com to use the webapps, accessing Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Find My iPhone and Find My Mac, and iWork online
