When you report a bug, make sure to describe the type of computer you are using, the version of the operating system it is running, and the version of Octave that you are using. There are a few functions that aren't implemented, usually to do with specific missing Octave functionality (GUI, DLL, Java, ActiveX, DDE, web, and serial functions)

OTOH I since SPICE is really nothing more than a nonlinear differential equation solver then I would use Matlab only if I had a really strange or special problem. This is a major advance compared to the old version of the symbolic toolbx which only provided direct access to a subset of the underlying Maple computational kernel. This is where variable precision arithmetic (vpa) comes in handy, allowing you to calculate to as many decimal places as your computer can handle at the expense of computational speed

Which approach is easiest depends on whether you are creating your GUI using GUIDE to design the layout (GUIDE-based GUIs) or whether you are calling FIGURE, AXES, UICONTROL, etc. I have this stored in a 1 x 10242 data structure, and when I issue the whos command, it tells me that the data now takes up 27,367,136 bytes! Professor Cris Luengo answers: My guess would be that a structure contains MATLAB arrays

How to install toolbox for MATLAB - Stack Overflow

  http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3389545/how-to-install-toolbox-for-matlab
If you mean just a general toolbox that is from a source other than MathWorks, I would check with the producer, as it will vary widely from "Put it on your path." to whatever their purchase and licensing procedure is. There are many people developing 3rd party toolboxes for Matlab, so there isn't just one single place where you can find "the image processing toolbox"

Trying the normal installation procedure, I would have expected the installation program to return specifying which toolboxes that are already loaded and asking if I wanted to add or remove some. The download will begin after you select your operating system. The MATLAB DVD contains all MATLAB toolboxes, and no download is required if you are installing from a DVD.Note: if this is network license, the license manager must be updated as well
