Why would you knowingly allow that ambiguity? With all the things that are genuinely subjective or uncertain in this arena, it makes no sense to leave that question as an exercise for the audience. When I hear about people who have huge percentages of drive failures, I start to wonder if they bought a bunch the exact same drive at the same time (bad batch) or if there is something in their environment

I did like you said and re-installed everything onto the external but when I opened the game it let me know that all of my EPs except Seasons had been uninstalled and if I continued my families in college will be aged to adult and all other families will be moved to the family bin...So of course I exited but I spent ALL day installing all of the games and they are listed on in my ext. My experience is that when your computer starts running slow, you've probably just got too much stuff on it, so moving some of the stuff to the external could very well perk up the performance
